I don't like AI taking up *any* brain space so this sucks

Whether a piece is potentially AI or not has become a discussion point during our editor meetings and it feels gross every time. It chips away at so much trust and we hate feeling like we need to distrust our writers. We do this for fun because we love reading and supporting writers.

We recently published a short story and a poem by the same author (under both linked names in Reckoning’s blog post). Both pieces are still on our website, however we are currently investigating best we can and will re-evaluate if/as more information comes to light.

Bullet points or not doesn’t define literary work. Literary work is usually character development, literary devices, and primarily aesthetic and artistic value. To me, RPGs have primarily been valued as practical reference for a well-defined audience. That’s also the definition of non-literary.

I have heard from writer friends that editors have directly told they don't want queer books right now, or have asked them to alter/remove queer characters, etc—a state of affairs which is unacceptable and cannot be tolerated. Queer audiences exist and need to see themselves reflected in literature!
