Reminder to call senators and reps about policies, especially these. Doesn’t have to be fancy, can be as simple as “don’t vote for ___” (at least for these 3) And I highly recommend making contacts for your reps to call them quickly (takes less spoons)

The point in bigotry and prejudice isn’t logic or “accuracy”, the point is dehumanizing, insult, putting down Hence you will hear homophobic things said at anyone, you will hear fat phobic things said at anyone, etc And for my own experience I’ve been called an N-slur before I was called an F-slur

I have been loving this story, and I just have to say: I often read stories with thinking how would this work as a comic, and the way this story is written works beyond amazingly in prose. This story has made a list for me of why you should write in prose. It’s so damn good, I’m excited for book

The paradox of tolerance disappears if you look at tolerance, not as a moral standard, but as a social contract. If someone does not abide by the terms of the contract, then they are not covered by it. In other words: The intolerant are not following the rules of the social contract of mutual tolerance.
