Unbelievable. Last week I interviewed for a higher ed job. It was a phone interview. The interviewer was so impressed with me that she scheduled me for a 2nd in person interview at the end of the call. That interview was scheduled for tomorrow.

The schools that stood up to Trump thug demands—first Wesleyan and Princeton, then Harvard, then many others who were emboldened—have won in court and earned honor in history and support from alums. Columbia showed that appeasement always loses. It's never enough. Don't do it, Yale.

During the drought, I left out a bucket of water to help wildlife. I'd never seen any frogs around here but one found it and left tadpoles. Now I'm chilling outside and listening to little peepers peeping all around me. It's really cool. That one bucket led to all this life and sweetness.
