Pretty thin evidence for Nowels to be claiming they caught the arsonist. They refer to him as a suspect but make it sound like he was already tried. Maybe he did it. Maybe he didn’t. But the comments on social media already convicted him and are calling for execution. Feels irresponsible of Nowels.

Saw this today. I felt ill. People struggling to survive and then here comes this guy. It seems… excessive.

There once was a time that the government hid the bad things that they did so we wouldn’t find out and hold them accountable. Now the government doesn’t even try to hide the bad things because they know we can’t hold them accountable. They aren’t afraid of us anymore. We are afraid of them.

I don’t know anyone who thinks fire season isn’t a big deal. In the Pacific Northwest, we take fire season extremely seriously. I used to fight fires while working for a helicopter company back in the 90s. It’s dangerous work and we knew it.

I am so grateful for my family. Father’s Day reminds me how lucky I am. My kids are amazing! It also makes me think of 16-yo Aiken Smith and his family who lived in Kellogg, Idaho and were murdered on Father’s Day 3 years ago by a horrible neighbor. Hug your family and hold them close. ❤️

The Spokane 3 were from Spokane. Those were our community members. Most of the jury was not from Spokane but places like Clarkston, Yakima and Wenatchee.
