If you can’t tell whether or not I’m joking, I probably am. I guess it's pretty nuanced.

Political violence is a serious issue. But it’s not a “both sides” issue. The leaders of the Democratic Party do not call for violence, do not elevate violent supporters, do not pardon violent thugs who attack our seat of government and our elections. America is under threat from the right.

In a story on political violence (where they depict the targets as equally democratic and republican), the @nytimes.com gives a sympathetic ear to a member of Congress who was part of January 6.

Representative Derrick Van Orden, a Republican from Wisconsin seeking re-election next month, attended the “Stop the Steal” rally on Jan. 6, 2021, in support of President Trump’s false claim that he had won the 2020 election. Mr. Van Orden was outside the U.S. Capitol that day when a mob attacked it, though he has denied entering the building. He was elected to Congress in 2022

Let me see if I understand this . . . 1. The U.S. is at war with Iran. 2. Russia is helping Iran in that war. 3. The U.S. is now giving Russia money that it can use to help Iran destroy U.S. bases and kill U.S. troops. Donald is smart & patriotic like that.

The first Russian diesel cargo heading for the US left St Petersburg on September 22, two weeks *before* Trump announced the deal with Putin, Windward reports. The Greek-flagged tanker Minerva Zen carrying 275,000 barrels of diesel/gasoil is due at the US East Coast around 11–12 October.

The other night my wife had a dream that I wouldn't change the roll of paper towels but I had a dream that same night that I specifically did and there was no real-life incident that precipitated either dream. Pretty weird, isn't it?

It’s wild that no one in the media asks the White House for any evidence that Iran was anywhere near producing nuclear weapons and makes it major a story when they refuse. Instead Trump just repeatedly uses this to justify the war and the economic hardships it’s caused without question.

I recommend people read this to get a sense of the president's grave cognitive impairment. Trump is either unwilling or unable (or maybe both) to answer the questions he's actually asked, so he just rants and raves while the interviewers do their best to provide structure to his random brain firings
