Actually, Americans are just like you. ~20-30% of them genuinely support fascism, as in ~every 🇪🇺 country. You are just more fortunate to have political institutions & a multiparty system that prevent that 20-30% from fully capturing the center-right party, becoming 51%, & controlling the government.

Look, Trump's Cabinet of sycophantic criminals won't invoke the 25th Amendment because it would end of their grifting, but that doesn't mean we all can't keep yelling at them to do it. Same goes with the House GOP and impeachment. Republicans can end this any time they wanted. Make them own it.

If only two years ago today there was some indication of the extreme, police state things Trump intended to do that are now super unpopular, maybe fewer people would have voted for him?
