The ECB is an endless source of academic commentary - very happy I was part of this multidisciplinary special issue, that covers a truly broad range of perspectives on the ever-growing influence that the ECB has on the lives of everyone living in the EU.

@mattvermeir.bsky.social argues that the European Central Bank changed its inflation target to rebuild trust after missing it for years, but it didn’t choose a more aggressive approach like the U.S. because some European countries are more cautious about inflation.
