Every 15 cent that the government subsidises a litre of petrol with could also power 50km of electric cycling. It's not either/or, but the bang-for-buck on cycling is massive.

If you pay €0.30 per unit for your electricity, then it costs €0.15 to charge this ebike. That €0.15 buys you 50km of cycling, or €0.003 per kilometre. bleeperactive.com/collections/...
