Interesting discussion by @ardenthistorian.bsky.social & @unddieregel.bsky.social about the rising fascism in the US @ KU Eichstätt-Ingolstadt. I am wondering what we must learn from this for the European and German context. This is not an external devlopment we can watch from the sideline.

Meanwhile German news media frames the heatwave as „the big sweat“ … No critical awareness of the climate crisis whatsoever.

Currently, in Western Europe we are in the middle of a heatwave of historic proportion. Yet, here this reality has not reached political decision makers. While people are struggling to deal with the immense heat, this is now simply part of a new precarity.
