Trench run in #picotron w procedurally generated greeble textures and props. #indiedev

#doom on #picotron wall darkening based on distance - basic attempt to test technical choices, works ok!

@lexaloffle.bsky.social #doom on #picotron require multi-pass rendering (eg texture then darkening with rectfill) issue is rectfill doesn’t support the same 0x100 flag as tline3d can this be added to 0.3e? plz plz plz 🥺

fun bugs porting #doom (32bits) to #picotron (64bits) quizz: find why scanning extent was something like -16000,16000 😱

#picotron port of #doom under way major roadblock lifted today: sprite masking against geometry 😰 a *lot* remains to be done - stay tuned!!

@lexaloffle.bsky.social nice 1k cart! :sieve question - how will you handle empty results (0-sized UD is not supported) or reuse of an existing UD and getting the actual number of results??

Mr Swop is now released and submitted to #lowrezjam itchio: werxzy.itch.io/mr-swop Lexaloffle BBS: www.lexaloffle.com/bbs/?tid=158... #pico8 #gamedev #indiedev #itchio

I was told you couldn't do 3D on the Playdate, so I did it. Then I was told there was no way I could create exterior levels like those in Mirror's Edge, so I proved them wrong again.

testing game design idea with #pico8 - triggered doors are a thing! tileset from: scut.itch.io/7drl-tileset...

look at what former #pico8 wizard is doing 😍

Silly test of the day: #picotron stencil shadows (yeah - 6bits depth buffer is not helping 😆)

It's #PitchYaGame Time! My name is Lukas and I'm currently developing 🛡️G l o o m G a t e⚔️ It's a pocket-sized action RPG with reaction-based fights, a node-based overworld and Souls-Like & Infinity Blade elements. Exclusive for Playdate 💛

#picotron moteur 3d of the day (to support wip rally game) half-userdata / half-lua (@lexaloffle.bsky.social compiling a list of userdata "gaps" 😰)

ported the MPR codepath from github.com/danfis/libccd to #picotron, now engine supports more interesting shapes!

What a lovely booth! Public could play Crankstone on Playdate and on the Steam Deck! @indiegamelyon.com

@lexaloffle.bsky.social any plan for #picotron <,> operators on userdata vec? that kind of monstrosity is terribly slow :/

@lexaloffle.bsky.social using chooser() from fullscreen app teleports the user back to workspace (wut?) and never comes back 😰 Are #picotron fullscreen apps supposed to remake their own file navigator??

Editor is editing! #picotron
