Latest read: Hopeless Necromantic by Shiloh Briar. Necromancer can't let go of the past. Tiefling soldier struggles to fit in. And they fall for each other. It's cute. Easy read. Feels like the author smashing their D&D characters together like a kid with action figures, in a good way. #books

I think I owned the Forgotten Realms 3e campaign setting before I owned the PHB. The first campaign I played in was 2009 in Cormyr. I stuck to the Realms for my first DM'd campaign a couple of years later. My copy is still littered with sticky notes.

Just wrapped my latest read - The Tapestry of Fate by Shannon Chakraborty. Fun high-seas fantasy adventure of a reformed pirate captain caught between motherhood and mystical responsibilities. This is the second book, about as good as the first and leaves a good spot for the next.
The Devils was a fun book. A medieval Suicide Squad of monsters working for the church. I'm looking forward to the sequel.
