Chad Bonin@chadbonin.com · last mo.Without saying your age, what is your favorite movie that came out when you were 20 years old? I have quoted this line way too much. And if I remember correctly, THE RINGER is significantly less offensive than you think it’d be.

It took me a few days to hammer out my Spider-Man: Brand New Day thoughts. It's a passable film. Had fun but wasn't as pumped as I hoped. Still good times for Spidey fans. boxd.it/fMaBj7

New 30th anniversary Transformers Beast Wars collection. I first thought I wish they sold them individually, but I do want them all. Even though I saw OG Transformers earlier, Beast Wars is my formative anchor to the franchise. www.hasbropulse.com/product/tran...

One of my better Smush games. I actually got the pangram first with no hints! Although I'm disappointed that the 20-year-old internet meme longcat didn't qualify. hankgreen.com/smush
Latest read: Hopeless Necromantic by Shiloh Briar. Necromancer can't let go of the past. Tiefling soldier struggles to fit in. And they fall for each other. It's cute. Easy read. Feels like the author smashing their D&D characters together like a kid with action figures, in a good way. #books

I've listened to Jay & Miles X-Plain the X-Men since the single-digit episode days. It's wild to see it winding down, but they picked a good arc to go out on.

The Last Contract of Isako by Fonda Lee (author of the Green Bone Saga) is a cool ass book. Futuristic sci-fi noir about contractors doing dirty work for the business elite. Main character accepts one last contract that puts her against a former protege. Conspiracies on top of conspiracies. #books

Queer and Pleasant Danger@monsterologist.bsky.social · 4mo agoShe shuffled through the remaining papers and frowned. "Don't you think it's weird," she said, "that they added an addendum insisting we include a transforming cyborg bug-themed Japanese superhero with a motorcycle to the contract?" He shrugged. "Not really. It's a common rider."
I think I owned the Forgotten Realms 3e campaign setting before I owned the PHB. The first campaign I played in was 2009 in Cormyr. I stuck to the Realms for my first DM'd campaign a couple of years later. My copy is still littered with sticky notes.

Just wrapped my latest read - The Tapestry of Fate by Shannon Chakraborty. Fun high-seas fantasy adventure of a reformed pirate captain caught between motherhood and mystical responsibilities. This is the second book, about as good as the first and leaves a good spot for the next.
The Devils was a fun book. A medieval Suicide Squad of monsters working for the church. I'm looking forward to the sequel.
