"The Mountain's like a person... it can reflect your song back to you." Again I love the inference to music being so integral to Middle-earth. But also, now knowing of the circular story-telling structure thanks to @oldewaysbob.bsky.social this mirrors to S1E7 after Mt Doom erupts #TROPRewatch

What binds Míriel and Elendil to each other is a shared sense of faith, in Númenor and it's history, it's ties to the elves, and their belief that it will eventually lead to a better path for Númenor. #mirielweek #theringsofpower #elendil

"But sometimes the lights shine just as brightly reflected in the water as they do in the sky. How am I to know which lights to follow?" "Sometimes we cannot know until we have touched the darkness." Míriel's arc reflects this quite well. #mirielweek #theringsofpower bsky.app/profile/bere... /1

Is @berekthehorse.unhingedfellowship.lol secretly a four-dimensional horse?

Seven Machina Rasmussen@toomanyspectra.bsky.social · 3mo ago

physicist here. it’s a common myth that the anti-horse moves backwards in time, which would theoretically account for the appearance of all horses in the universe. what we’re actually witnessing here is the three-dimensional projection of the fundamentally symmetric four-dimensional horse.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT ‼️ The actor who plays @berekthehorse.unhingedfellowship.lol has been spotted at the party while Celeborn's actor Jamie Campbell Bower is on the decks as a DJ.

*neighs* something something way of the faithful

Jamie Campbell Bower will play Galadriel's husband Celeborn in The Rings of Power Season 3.

Jamie Campbell Bower Plays Celeborn in THE RINGS OF POWER

I’m posting this story again cos #TROPSky deserves to know the kind of person Daniel Weyman is, and why I love him playing Gandalf in #RingsOfPower I still suspect he might have been the reason Megan was there at all that night.

Okay then. Story time! I posted👇🏼 on 6th Sept. Fast-forward to 3rd Oct when, thanks to one Grand Elf Daniel Weyman (I love him), that future actually did manifest and I was able to meet Megan Richards! So here’s how it happened:

"Has then Sauron become King of Númenor" - The People's of Middle-earth.

This is such a wonderful, magical piece of music that really does capture the sort of mythic vibe that Eärendil has in the the Legendarium. I love it.

"Yet it is not our part to master all the tides of the world, but to do what is in us for the succour of those years wherein we are set, uprooting the evil in the fields that we know, so that those who live after may have clean earth to till..." - Gandalf, Ch. 9, The Last Debate.

I love how this wasn't even to help her walk through the room or anything. They just had their little emotional support hand squeeze in the middle of her coronation because they needed it and it didn't matter that it was a solemn occasion or that the room was full of people.

But look at that halo light directly over Miriel! #TROPRewatch

When I have the time and the energy I really want to talk about the connection between Míriel's progressive transformaron in a saintlike figure narratively and the visual clues like this one. I used to think they were coincidences but there're too many and they fit her arc too well (specially in s2)
