Belgium’s diamond industry gifted Trump a gold ring encrusted with 321 diamonds and 75 gemstones. Then — poof — a month later, their diamonds got an exemption from Trump's tariffs. I'm investigating what looks like corruption in plain sight.

Extraordinary, powerful and heart-wrenching. Active duty Marine Colonel Zach Schmidt, speaking in his personal capacity, about Khalil, an Afghan national whose family helped U.S. forces in Afghanistan. Khalil was deported by the U.S. on Friday to a conflict zone.

You know something has gone terribly wrong when 94% of teachers have to dip into their own pockets to buy school supplies while the average Wall Street employee got a bonus of $246,900 in 2025. Hello?

“The American Cancer Society is now working on a national campaign to make more women and doctors aware that tube removal can help prevent most ovarian cancers.” My mother died of ovarian cancer. I’m glad to see this. And the science story here is also worth the read. 1/2 🧪

Most ‘Ovarian Cancer’ Isn’t. And That Fact Can Save Lives.

The vast majority of cases begin in the fallopian tubes — and removing them can reduce the risk by nearly 80 percent.

Today we lost Dolly Parton, another person who put Bible words into her songs and gospel values into her life. She remembered her roots, and gave back to her hometown and the world in so many ways. Live so folks remember your words and deeds with joy and tribute 2/n

Coat of many colors
Back through the years I go wanderin' once again
Back to the seasons of my youth
I recall a box of rags that someone gave us
And how my mama put the rags to use

[Verse 2]
There were rags of many colors, and every piece was small
And I didn't have a coat and it was way down in the fall
Mama sewed the rags together sewing every piece with love
She made my coat of many colors that I was so proud of

[Verse 3]
As she sewed, she told a story from the Bible she had read
About a coat of many colors Joseph wore and then she said
"Perhaps this coat will bring you good luck and happiness"
And I just couldn't wait to wear it and momma blessed it with a kiss

[Chorus]
My coat of many colors that my mama made for me
Made only from rags but I wore it so proudly
Although we had no money I was rich as I could be
In my coat of many colors my mama made for me

[Verse 4]
So with patches on my britches and holes in both my shoes
In my coat of many colors I hurried off to school
Just to find the others laughin' and a-makin' fun of me
In my coat of many colors my mama made for me

Dolly Parton understood that a legacy isn’t only what you accomplish for yourself, but what you make possible for others. Through her Imagination Library, children across California gained access to free books.

Dolly Parton did all the good she could, for all the people she could, for as long as ever she could. From her legendary songwriting to the Imagination Library—which sent 1 million books a month to children across the country—she was the best of America. Dolly, we'll miss your great heart.

Rodneyse Bichotte’s corrupt effort to cling to power as chair of the Brooklyn Democratic Party is rightly stirring outrage across the spectrum of Democratic leaders. (1/3)

The Library is devastated to learn of the passing of Dolly Parton, a music legend and titan of children's literacy. Her Imagination Library program has earned multiple Library Literacy Awards and, in 2018, she visited us to donate its 100 millionth book to our collection and host a story time. 🦋❤️

Bsky hivemind, I have a question: Does anyone know of a good quality, induction compatible 8” nonstick skillet that is balanced enough not to do this? The one in the picture is the All-Clad — the handle is too heavy (or the pan too light) for it to sit flat. Same with the OXO and the Tramontina.

8” frying pan sitting on an induction stovetop. The weight of the handle lifts the opposite side of the pan off the burner.
