Everyone go say happy birthday to Chess! I hope you have a wonderful day and like this little drawing I made of Hyuta! I've been eyeing her on your artfight and thought it would be nice if she enjoyed a moment of calmness in the midst of her usual excitability :D

Artfight attack against Chess, an OC/sona belonging to @chesstries2draw.bsky.social. This is a (sort of) monochromatic digitally painted halfbody piece, where is posing with her hand under her chin. Of course I realized as I was typing this that the proportions are off... oh well I'm too lazy to go fix everything. Anyways, she is leaning over in this cutesy but confident pose that I referenced from a pic I found on Pinterest (of course). I then rendered everything in black and white, and played around with gradient maps. I do not like the gradient map method too much, since I can never get the colours to look right. The sepia look of this was unintentional, but I kept it because it looked interesting. Gradient maps definitely saved me a lot of time from overthinking my colour palette.
