That person at the party who won't shut up about birds. They/them. NYC. https://femalebirdday.wordpress.com/ https://www.feministbirdclub.org

Your reminder that Common Eider sound like this. It would take a stronger man than I to keep a straight face during mass every time I looked at that window. Just constant surprise and delight over the Eucharist. Anyway, I love everything about this. www.youtube.com/watch?v=yh5r...

The modern stained glass on Holy Island goes HARD.

A stained glass window with the sacred heart of Jesus, seals, a puffin, the tidal causeway and rescue refuges, birds, st Cuthbert's cross, and a deer

Ended up dropping Cryptopsy as well, replaced with Funebrarum. As stupid as it is to make calls about "age-appropriate themes in death metal," I think my line here is overt sexualized violence. Every track or band I've axed has been because of this. Gender-agnostic disembowelings only, tysm!

Making an extreme metal playlist for my 13th-year-old nephew and I have never been sadder than the moment I realized I had to delete the GWAR track.

I get that people are trying to be inclusive, but the number of places that are like "we define women as including nonbinary people" in their women focused event descriptions makes me stabby. I don't want to be defined as a woman! That's like... one of the main things about being nonbinary!!!

I'm not going to QT a really good post because I don't want to put him or his followers on blast, but it's really goddamned grim when a trans guy posts about how introspection and transition made his life immeasurably better and the replies are a bunch of cis people (and an egg) shooting him down.

Did our annual pilgrimage to look at baby Black Skimmer, American Oystercatcher, Common Tern, and Piping Plover and the beach did not disappoint. So many doofuses and I love them all. We turned it into a Feminist Bird Club outing and was pleased that seven or eight people made the trek too!
