Four litters of endangered red wolf pups born in eastern North Carolina this year are boosting hopes for the recovery of the species, which has only about 22 adults remaining in the wild.

It's Intentional Tiger Day and the adult Bengal Tiger is built for stealth and power. The adult measures ten feet from nose to tail weighs 500lbs, yet walks without making a sound. Their stripes act as a camouflage both protecting and confusing predators with their patterns. Endangered, they are now protected from trophy hunters and poachers and making a slow comeback after population fell from over 100, 000 to 4,200. Lifespan 10-15 years
