had no idea that being an adult would require so many kinds of gloves? i’ve got fire gloves for fireplace & coffee roasting, electrician gloves to not die when fixing the AC/wiring rooms/shed, & now full-length bite-proof wildlife gloves b/c Mme was a little jumpy today after yesterday’s incident

i want to use Xbox Cloud Gaming on my iPad Pro but have learned that none of my millions of Xbox controllers have Bluetooth so now i have to buy another gd Xbox controller & i am full of annoy

a million years ago i was in a group called The Postcard Fairies & we all just made art on postcards & mailed them to ppl on the list who had joined & it was SO great to get little art pieces from strangers all the time. idk how one would do this now w/o bad actor spam but i would ❤️ to do it again

it’s not even ridiculously humid out (59%) but the air is heavy af. being in the shade slows heating up a bit but it still feels like existing in soup.

the daily antibiotic ointment is doing its job on Mme Applebottom’s wound! you wouldn’t believe what she allowed me to do. it involved going in w/latex gloves & resulted in a giant amount of gunk that’s no longer in her. she was a very brave girl & so was i b/c i didn’t dry-heave even once!😅

obviously i think AI is an abomination. i have talked about this for a long time and will continue to do so, but today i was struck with something REALLY COOL that i do not think is discussed enough on the opposite end: the JOY and FULFILLMENT of being able to hire and work with human artists.

the large male groundhog chased Mme A across the yard & she shot out from under the 🍎 tree, ran straight at me & then put her paws on my feet. i hadn’t seen him chasing her but he came out to continue so I shouted & he took off 1—FLOORED that she ran to me for safety 2—probs need to relocate him :/

there’s been a tunnel under the 3’ wrought iron fence that divides my yard into “groundhog country” & “toby country” ever since i installed it, but now there’s a second tunnel right next to it b/c apparently Mme does not share tunnels? so we have Ft. Pitt & Liberty going on in the back yard now

harvested boatloads of yarrow & lavender & some wild bergamot for herbal concoctions. everything should be dried in a few days & then i’ll jar it up w/the mason jar vacuum-sealer for when the comfrey-infused oil is done doing its thing to make comfrey salve (which is AMAZING for wound healing/aches)

oh, and just a heads up: Simmons Farm & José Quiroz Farm are at a lot of the pittsburgh farmers markets throughout the week and their peaches right now are _divine_. let them pick them out for you and then wait exactly 2 days to eat over your sink in ecstasy
