Yearly Reminder: If you personally wish me a Merry Christmas on November 1st or tag me in any holiday themed posts, I will just block you and I am not kidding. That is a meme and trend I genuinely hate with every fiber of my being. This is your only warning.

So, this is going swimmingly 😅 (read the quoted thread if you haven't seen the pitch before!)

Chapter One The day that Zachary Palmer’s faith in his father had died was the day that he proclaimed he was a proud supporter of presidential candidate Richard Kent. It didn’t matter that he was just another rich asshole. It didn’t matter that he attacked the working class, or women, or anyone that was non-white… Or him. No, that didn’t matter. Because Richard Kent was an “honest” man that spoke his mind and was against the establishment. But anyone that was looking at the bigger picture—meaning rational people with empathy—could tell that he was the establishment. All the red flags were there. This was a man that should not be trusted as the one in charge of the country, in charge of the military, and in charge of how everyone that wasn’t a rich, cisgender straight white man should be removed from public life. Within his first term, he destroyed the already shitty reputation of the American Dream. Millions of lives were ruined by his cruelty and his rhetoric. Conservatives that originally denied their true intentions and hatred now were allowed to be mask off, spewing their vile bigotry because they were allowed to. Within his second term, all the government would focus on was the demonization and eradication of trans people. Trans people like Zachary Palmer. Though, his father didn’t know that he was trans. But after hearing that dear old Dad was a ride or die supporter of President Kent’s ouroboros death cult, can you really blame him?He used to be Zachary’s hero. He used to be the kind of man he strived to be. Hardworking, strong, and confident, unafraid of standing up for what he believed in. And Zachary in turn was the favorite of the three Palmer children, back when he was known by the entire family as “Daddy’s little girl.” But the blinders were off now. Zachary was forced to reckon with what his father truly was: an asshole. A hateful bastard. A bigot. Zachary sometimes wished that he never realized he was trans. That way, he could go back to the way things used to be, back when he was an awkward teenage girl that hated her body and hated when people seemed to think she was good looking and never knowing why that bothered her so much. He could go back to blissful ignorance and pretend that he didn’t have such debilitating anxiety over what his future held. He wouldn’t have to keep justifying himself by saying, “Yes, I’m a trans man” even when he never took “the steps” to being seen as a trans man, even in queer circles. That part infuriated him the most. He spent many hours doomscrolling transmedicalist threads that proclaimed people like him didn’t deserve to call themselves trans without any regard as to how it made trans people like Zachary feel. People that couldn’t do the things that they wanted because they would lose their home, or their job, or their family, because dammit they knew that they were miserable, but thanks to President Kent ruining the economy harder than anyone had seen in their lifetime, they needed their bigoted families. So that was why Zachary was here, crying in the driveway and staring at the “America First – Richard Kent 2024” flag waving proudly at his parents’ house’s front porch while wrapping his arm around his chest as if that could take away the disgust he felt over a customer ogling at his tits at work today. He couldn’t escape it, because after getting kicked out of his apartment three years ago over a “renoviction,” this was his house now, too.

Here's the pitch: Closeted trans guy at a dead-end job, suffering burnout while living with his M@GA (or M@GA equivalent) family. His entire family thinks he's a lowlife for not having a successful career or having a husband and children. His younger, more successful sister, is getting married.

#AwesomeCharacters Believe it or not, I think it's Terran! While usually Terran is friendly and kind, he can be really scary when he needs to be! He definitely uses his potential scariness for good.

A drawing of Terran from Sweet & Wild. He has tan skin, brown and green hair, bright green eyes, long pointed ears, and antlers

#SFFChat Hi! I'm Gabe, and I write MM romance and dark fantasy. Death and grief are very difficult things for me to deal with, so the most important thing for me is when friends and loved ones of the deceased can look back on the good memories and experience bittersweet joy even though they're gone.

I had to cancel my order. Customer service refused to tell me WHY they’re not stocking this new release. I’m forced to believe it’s been censored. AND I have to wait til next payday to buy my copy somewhere else. I know this is in no way the author’s fault, and that’s why I’m so frustrated.

I can't believe the book I pre-ordered (that came out 2 weeks ago) is still out of stock. it makes me think that it's just not being printed. I ordered it with a gift card, otherwise I'd cancel it and try to get the same book elsewhere.
