You’re not entitled to hug a child or anyone actually for that matter just cos you want to and if you can’t see how that connects to consent, you’re probably not safe to be around
Ok an bhfuil aon duine ann chun cabhrú liom chun aistriucháin do leabhair fíricí a bhaineann le dineasáir a cruthú? An páiste ag éirí cantalach toisc nach bhfuil sé in ann labhairt liom mar gheall ar nósanna an triceratops
Ar ais le ceist eile mar gheall ar leabhair Gaeilge dá bpáistí. A bhfuil aon leabhair dineasár le fáil? Leabhair fíricí a bhaineann le dineasáir, seachas scéal le dineasáir ann.
Great article by @dan462.bsky.social in this morning’s Examiner about what childcare could look like if there was enough political will! www.irishexaminer.com/opinion/comm...
Finland's childcare is state-run, cheap, and plentiful — why can't Ireland do it?
We feel incredibly privileged to have this excellent system for our kids, and the thought of having to go back to Ireland to try and navigate the system there was a major factor in us choosing to stay...

Niche but girlies, I am begging you not to buy a WOOL SWEATER and then stick it in your washing machine? And when you do, and it’s all shrunken and felted, don’t list it on Vinted as “like new, size M but fits more like S”. Ma’am, I can see that you’ve wrecked your & Other Stories cardi.
To say Irish citizenship is “given out like smarties” betrays an ignorance that is unworthy of an elected member of the Oireachtas. Also deeply insulting to the many people who have had to wait years for it due to sheer governmental incompetence.
The government wants to add “integration” conditions to the citizenship process. Will it up its own game, too? Read more here www.dublininquirer.com/the-governme...
“I would like to use your Irish sound, language, artistry, culture and even your history but absolutely none of the politics wrapped up in any of that, thanks” - a load of British singers, for some reason
I literally wrote a book about how people got ARRESTED for trying to speak Irish to police in Ireland, don’t given me this feigned respect and reverence for Irish.
Did you know that we deny Deaf people in Ireland the opportunity to learn Irish in school? Because it’s deemed that they wouldn’t be able. Without any assessment. Without any comprehension that many Deaf people are learning ISL and English at the same time? And are therefore bilingual?

Time keeping is my passion.
You could for example do commercial law, like Jim O’Callaghan did, where you can charge approximately the same amount for an hour of your time that he’s now paying for an entire criminal case start to finish
1. The fees cited include 23% VAT (goes back to the exchequer) 2. Legal aid fees are paid into the law firm’s bank account and used to pay staff salaries, &often split with barristers in District Court 3. I oppose the new fees and I might have made a few hundred in criminal legal aid last year 🤷♀️
Solicitors opposing new fees received hundreds of thousands of euro last year from the State
Free criminal legal aid is a basic human right, hope that helps x

In ‘terrible but also funny’ news, the state of Florida is currently beefing with… An Coimisiún Le Rincí Gaelacha, aka the world’s largest and oldest governing body for Irish Dance because the NA championships are being held in Orlando and CLRG refuses to ban trans girls from competing as girls

You know what’s always gone down well with the people of Northern Ireland? People with very little understanding of the political, social and economic history of the state making overarching assumptions based on the political views of their own country.
