it’s jimmy you’ve already told us it’s jimmy. you need to work on your game design mr beast. this is what happens when you lift ideas without considering them critically. even just one small oversight can trivialize the whole dynamic between the players.

*Mr Beast voice* I HELPED THIS WOMAN TURN A ROOM FULL OF STRAW INTO GOLD USING ONLY A SPINNING WHEEL! IF SHE CAN'T GUESS MY NAME IN THREE DAYS, I'M TAKING HER BABY!

Sigh. So it has come to this. I've turned this off, of course, but I am going to do some poking around to see exactly how much of that "some" I can't opt out of. If anything is Generative AI, then I am quitting. I'll be streaming on Youtube until I find a better alternative.

Twitch now uses your channel to train generative AI by default. You can opt out of some training here: www.twitch.tv/settings/sec...

Training for Generative AI

Allow your channel content to train generative AI content models at Amazon. Turning this off does not opt you out of Twitch and Amazon using your channel content for other purposes described in the Twitch Privacy Notice, including using AI-supported Twitch features that benefit the community by facilitating streamer growth and monetization (such as real-time sponsorship campaign assistance), viewer discovery (such as recommendations), and community safety (such as AutoMod). Of all the setting you want off, this is by far the most important. It's just gross and disgusting that it's even allowed in tha first place. Settings -> Security and Privacy -> first option under "Hide Founder Badge" to toggle off ai training of your channel.

Let your streamer friends know to turn it off immediately or everything you say in their channel will be scraped up and fed to the AI model alongside their images on the channel which they will NOT have artist permission to do so, and their vods & clips too! Nothing is safe!

With Twitch's AI update ( That you should opt out of immediately by scrolling to the bottom at - www.twitch.tv/settings/sec... ) it means if a streamer you follow hasn't turned it off it'll be scraping chat for all messages, even if YOU have opted out, it defaults to the channel owners settings.

What channel content (clips, chat, metadata, etc.) is eligible to be used for generative AI training?

"Your stream and the stream's chat, your VODs, your clips, highlights, and any text or images on your channel may be used. If you chat on someone else's stream, their opt-out preferences govern if that chat can be used for training"

If Twitch could run their servers cheaper by cooling them with the blood of newborn babies they would do so in a heartbeat. Twitch, and furthermore Amazon, DO NOT CARE what you opinion is of them. They have the monopoly. They can and will do whatever they fucking want.
