The stereotype is that if you grew up on cape comics you have an eye for detail + structure. If you grew up with manga you have an eye for lineart. If you grew up on webcomics you have an eye for color and you're probably gay.

Just somewhere you could point a newcomer so they can learn stuff like "don't write more than one action in a single panel" or "Remember that your words are taking up page real estate"?

I draw with a mouse when I get tired ahaha, so I do shading and highlights with it usually. Need to do a little less on that and backgrounds for every comic panel being too complex I think?
