A common misunderstanding about the "London school" of Test-Driven Development is that every class has unit tests, and every dependency in every unit test is mocked. This, I think, comes from folks not seeing it at scale. What gets mocked typically represents roles in a high-level design...

Given that the technology - and how we use it - makes little observable difference to the outcome, we sure have spent a *lot* of time on it.
