Hey! I'll be in NYC from Sept. 23-25 and am looking for recommendations for places to stay. I know it's expensive and was hoping to not spend more than $300/night if possible. I'm looking for a place close to the subway since I'll be bouncing around to for meetings and friends.

Got an email from Adobe saying that they were nearly doubling the cost of my creative cloud subscriptions and adding a bunch of Gen AI dogshit I didn't ask for! If you don't want to get charged you have to log in and downgrade to a "standard" plan that's just the fuckin apps.

In exchange for public funding for the Moda Center, I want at least two strings attached: 1. Guaranteed cheep/free seats for residents (perhaps through the MultCo library card, like cultural passes to the ballet and Japanese Garden) 2. Street pricing on concessions like PDX (bc why is beer $17??)

I don't mean to brag but many of my friends are authors, and I am an author, and also we would all rather die than use AI to do even a fraction of our craft. AI in art is for cowards unwilling to be vulnerable for long enough to learn. The prompt is the easy part. Always has been.
