Yes, deep down, in my heart of hearts, in the secret part of myself I never openly acknowledge for fear of what doing so might unleash upon my already fragile mind...I know that the Undertaker is not a real zombie.
this is from a Guardian review of Channel 4's Wrestling With Trump documentary. Positing, in 2026, that Kayfabe is an explanation for why fans don't like to admit wrestling isn't real should have you taken off any beat that covers anything remotely close to wrestling.

I'm aware this is very much Not The Point, but fwiw the reason non-human animals don't have to wipe isn't because of their diets: it's because they don't have giant, muscular arses covering up the relevant anatomy, which we do in order to allow us to walk upright. The trade off is hands, for wiping.
Oh my god the dietician who is telling everyone in the White House to only eat steak and sauerkraut doesn't wipe his ass.
563) Wheeliebot. If you're struggling to move your heavy wheelie bin, substitute it for this self-propelled version! Compatible with all vehicle loading mechanisms and has a changeable exterior to match the required colours of your local authority. #SmallRobotsRemastered
Catastrophic Selfie is OUT NOW! I’m really proud of this one. Quite a lot of life has gone into this album. It’s heartfelt but with a sense of the ridiculous and some very catchy tunes. I’d love it if you’d listen, share or even buy it! Stream anywhere. thewoodlousemusic.bandcamp.com/album/catast...

There a million things wrong with the EHRC guidance, as you all know, but for me the weirdest thing about it all is that its authors don't even seem to be aware of the possibility that someone asked to leave a "single sex" facility might refuse.
The Tories have selected a convicted former Neo-Nazi as a councillor. Here's why that reflects very poorly on Jeremy Corbyn.
If you read fiction and you don't like AI you're a hypocrite. If you eat monster munch and don't like asbestos you're a blacksmith. If you play videogames and don't like stubbing your toe you're a submarine captain. We can all just SAY things. It's not hard.

Here’s the latest stop motion animation from my Tiny Angry Witch team. (I’m the writer, I can’t take credit for the animating!) It’s one of our longest, and it nearly drove us all mad, but we’re really proud of getting it made! 1 x Tiny Angry Witch 1 x broom No AI
1802) Transwrongsbot. Listen, validation and love is all very well, but at some point things get bad enough that action is required as a matter of simple survival. It's time to protect trans rights by doing some trans wrongs.
562) Viewbot. If the view from your window is a bit grim, sidles onto the ledge outside and projects a more aesthetically pleasing one. #SmallRobotsRemastered
On no, a British show is going a Mexican-themed week again.

My one spicy Odyssey take is that, like all of Nolan's films, it is *profoundly* middlebrow. So those of us who know a fair bit about the source material are annoyed by these very glib moments, but much of the audience isn't even going to spot them or will know just enough to pick up the theme.
this isnt a comment on the work as a whole but if i had written the line "our age of bronze is collapsing" and it was viewed by millions of people id probably seek death
"It's such a tragedy that the world is now down an absolute shithead." - the entire UK media class
Yes, his family, like his daughter whose mother he assaulted when she was 20 weeks pregnant with her.
I am saddened by the tone of commentary in this place about my former BBC colleague. The level of vitriol seems more suited to the other place. I worked with Rod at the Today programme. He took no prisoners, but he was witty and personally capable of genuine warmth. My sympathy to his family.
But I didn’t want Cadburys to taste like shite, that’s been imposed on me. Mondolez made $2.4 billion last year they could have swallowed some of the higher cocoa costs, but didn’t, and more importantly, now costs are lower, they won’t reinstate the quality will they?
I think my most genuinely unpopular take is that a widely held and genuine consumer preference for cheaper, lower-quality goods, not private equity, is driving the decline in quality of consumer goods like clothing and housewares.
i'd say "pay attention to who has kind things to say about rod liddle, the racist pedophile, following his death" but to no surprise it is the entirety of the mainstream british press
This whole thing is (once again) fascinating, and I know this *particular* bugbear is one that appeals to me personally, but clearly it is indicative of a wider problem with reading comprehension (not solely in the US!) and the spread of "comment culture".
