3/5. However @ripcitynotripoff.bsky.social dug into the data. Only $163 million are necessary repairs to maintain this public building. The remaining $341 million is for Blazers’ revenue generating upgrades. That’s should be on them.

The city’s independent arena experts report Moda repairs and upgrades would cost $253 million in today’s dollars. That’s $505 over 20 years.

The mission of Portland Street Response is to provide an unarmed, compassionate 911 response to assist people experiencing a crisis. They respond to 911 calls that would have previously been dispatched to armed police officers or otherwise received no response.

While I’ll be in person to be accessible to constituents, non front facing employees shouldn’t have to be. This is antiquated. Work from home equalized the workplace in so many ways for women, parents, caregivers, people of color, etc., why should we take that away?

Portland's new mayor is making one of his first moves in office (well before office, really) to be requiring city staff back in their offices after several years of hybrid work. It was...not well received.

Four years ago, protests defined Portland. Since then, more than 260 people have filed legal complaints alleging injuries from police, resulting in roughly $3.3 million in payouts. Now, an independent monitor will determine whether police have improved crowd control tactics and command structures.
