I can understand the want to overcomplicate characters, I do it too (image below). But those details also play an important role in who they are as a character, such as personality, gender, culture, ect. Amo clearly does this out of spite, not the intention to add onto a character
ALRIGHT, since you can't seem to understand why your design is overcomplicated, I wrote a whole novel for you providing criticism of the design by comparing and contrasting the original to the new. If you somehow still don't understand what is so wrong, I think you need to take some design courses
