The "Anthropic destroyed millions of books" narrative is so frustrating. There are tons of legitimate criticisms against AI companies, and focusing on such a non-issue doesn't really help anybody… beyond the media profiting from the click-bait.

Tell folks to hang up and call you back on the number they have saved for you to be sure it’s you.

8-year old was struggling with reading comprehension while reading a text about “Max and Ninon”. The issue was not his reasoning skills, it was that, not being familiar with those names, he didn’t know which characters the male and female pronouns applied to. Turns out kids are woke!
Hot take: because of AI, 90% of software products will not exist in 10 years. 1) AI tools can replicate most features at a "good enough" level. You don't need Photoshop to remove a background anymore, just ask ChatGPT. 2) AI tools are expensive, meaning consumers will cut costs elsewhere.
It's gotten to the point where even non-developers I come across have used AI coding tools more than I have. Guess I can't put it off any longer…
Someone should track the average number of tabs in web apps. My theory is that it has gone up by 50% or more over the past year, solely due to Claude Code.
