☀️ Finally beat Outer Wilds! After 2.5 years of off/on playing, I've finally beat Outer Wilds! I'm 95% sure the play time is drastically incorrect (SteamDeck not sleeping like it should) but still easily played 50-100 hours.
This is great for all those Svelte Summit presentations!
I'm excited for the new Animotion API for making visual explainers with support for layout and code animations, rendering to video, and plugins 🔥

Speaking of too much data to know what to do with - I also did a thing! Lots to do still, but I'm terrible at remembering to post about stuffs so here we go Get some plc directory stats down yous, and hopefully other stuff in the future (patches welcome) atmo-stats.willow.sh/plc
plc ~ atmo-stats
atmo-stats.willow.sh
a bit embarrassing, but hopefully helpful to someone
So excited for this — the Svelte community is so fun and idiosyncratic and welcoming and if this is anything like the last two conferences it will be an absolute blast. And Ljubljana is lovely. Submit a talk idea! Join the list! Would love to see you there
Svelte Summit tickets are coming in the next few days 🎟️ Join the launch list and we’ll email you a discount code when they go live. See you in Ljubljana on November 19–20. → sveltesummit.com/ticket-updates
this year i've carved a big chunk of my time out to officially work on OSS. if you like what I do, or use the things I work on, sponsorships go a long way. these help me keep the balance I have, and allow me to dedicate a lot more time to open source. thank you to those who already sponsor me 💙

Closing 9 issues with a single PR - didn't have that in a long time. This one is for a bunch of cleanup and streamlining of shallow routing (svelte.dev/docs/kit/sha...). It's gonna be part of SvelteKit 3, which is coming along great, prereleases are out on npm already - go try it out!

Just learned last night one of my old high school cross country teammates lost both his kids (and ex-wife) to a devastating act of violence. Our community is raising money to cover funeral services and help John with as much support as we can. www.gofundme.com/f/honoring-a...

Ordered a new Apple Watch from Best Buy after being enticed with the $100 + 10% off. FedEx delivery decided to slice the bottom of the box, steal the watch/band, and leave the empty boxes. Was original tape on top, but re-taped with clear tape on the bottom.
🔥 Flame graph / chart examples Added 2 new LayerChart examples: 📊 Flame graph to show a hierarchy of call frames with click-to-zoom interactivity (similar to d3-flame-graph) and breadcrumbs 📊 Flame chart to show execution over time with brush interactivity and "sticky labels"
npx sv add @msw/sveltekit And just like that, you get mocking setup in your sveltekit app 😎🤟🏻
Great news for everyone building with SvelteKit! MSW now ships a first-class integration to add the network mocking capabilities to your SvelteKit projects. Check this out and give it a ⭐ github.com/mswjs/svelt...
I am using #LayerChart from @techniq.dev for the first time and I am absolutely stunned how well IA agents can understand and translate my requirements (series labels with dodging, #dataWrapper style date axis, modern gridlines, line interpolation..) This task took me weeks when I hand coded them!
Join me and @hmans.dev for This Week in Svelte...we're gonna talk about @chatto.run (a project I've been eyeing...written in Svelte obviously) youtube.com/live/EjpIXG9...

Finished the game last night after almost 40 hours. I both REALLY enjoyed it, but was also frustrated by some elements and decisions of the game.

Picked up "The Witness" for $8 (80% off) on my steamdeck and really enjoying thus far (about 4 hours in). Initial impression is it feels like Myst + Portal, and continues to get better the longer I play. store.steampowered.com/app/210970/T...
Grew up in an era where you were nothing without a handle - hack the planet! www.youtube.com/watch?v=piI9... Play on `technique` mostly because it had `tech` and my adolescent self thought it sounded cool 😎 Later found out someone had a similar handle in: "All Your Base Are Belong To Us" credits

your token costs: lower your server costs: lower your bandwidth costs: lower not to mention the fact that you'll ship in half the time and tear out less hair in the process. just use @svelte.dev, people. it's like other frameworks but better
We measured the LLM token cost of 5 frontend frameworks on identical components. Svelte wins, Angular costs 38% more — and your AI bill feels it. #webdevelopment
📊 LayerChart now has over 100k weekly downloads, and over 2M in the last 12 months 😳

Say goodbye to svelte.config.js - you don't need it anymore! The newest version of SvelteKit allows you to configure everything via its Vite plugin, and VS Code, svelte-check and SvelteKit itself can all read from it. On file less cluttering your project root.
