Got a few great breaks in the clouds and saw ~17 super bright ones and dozens more faint ones. Proper space pics coming soon, but here's a quick phone edit. Partial Eclipse - up to ~54% here in St. John's

It's about 54% here in St. John's which I think most folks will not even notice at all (the difference from 99% and 100% for example is HUGE) but could make for cool photos.

Well, it took 8 days but I did finally start actually writing tonight.

Okay, that's much better! $100 and 20 minutes of work just gave this laptop a whole new life (that and the jump to Linux for 95% of my workload too).

Found a ton of ghost pipes today! These are extremely cool parasitic plants that lack chlorophyll and don't use photosynthesis for energy. They are translucent! They look like the Bloodborne lamps! They are a little pink!

I really loved working on this book, and Marco made it all look INCREDIBLE! My adventure, Between a Corp and a Hard Place, puts the PCs at the center of a powder keg situation with a miner family homestead, corporate espionage, cybernetic assassins, and alien powers all on an "uninhabited" planet.

I may have started on install using an extremely old USB thumb drive that is apparently making it take hours and hours so.... don't do that if you are gonna install something like this, lol.

What's the distro linux folks would recommend for a fairly experienced PC person (I build my own PCs, generally know how things work, am cool to follow tutorials, etc.) with no real linux experience?

Game was a wild one! Surprisingly few deaths as the dice were kind and they stumbled into maybe the shortest possible route along with some smart plays (and 8-monkey chain ladder between levels, for one). The Lord Beneath almost won them over his argument though!

Going to see Blackout (1978) on 16mm tonight at the local Lion's Club like a true cinephile. 70mm IMAX can kick rocks.
