Cargie@cargie.baby · 16m agoIt was NEVER about restricting pornographic material, it was about bringing it under the control of corporations, and removing the ability of independent NSFW artists, who are often queer, to make any kind of a living so they starve to death
One thing that makes me feel insane is that the primary use of AI is to mass produce the pornography that they are trying to make it illegal for humans to make. But also, the AI isn't even good at it. None of it is hot!
It's amazing how every "writer" promoting AI is instantly revealed to be a scammer, they don't even try to hide it. It's like they think we're stupid too

It had a very comic strip art style and was only vaguely memorable. I thought I had imagined it until @bitterkarella.bsky.social ‘s podcast episode about it and then my mind melted.
ok so important to note that "rabbits in waistcoats" and "possums in overalls" are sub-genres of animal fables, but not every furry story falls into these two categories.

Get Along Gang hits a lot of the same notes as "Possums in Overalls" updated to 50s nostalgia for an 80s audience. As the lives of the MC critters become more modernized, the presence of any human civilization becomes more nebulous. did humans exist in the get along gang world? i don't think we know

I remember reading a "Dear Abbie" column back in the 90s, where a person asked "should i warn my friends before i introduce them to my relative that my relative is trans" and abbie was all "No, absolutely do not do that, who cares" and it really didn't strike me at the time abbey was such an ally

The firestorm of age-verification laws have done almost nothing to prevent minors from accessing porn online. What they have done is give the state a powerful tool to harass speech they don't like by declaring it pornographic or "harmful to minors."
