They’ve introduced the acronym SHAPE (Social Sciences, Humanities, and Arts for People and the Economy) due to the success of STEM and it doesn’t really work because “women in SHAPE” sounds like a comment on our bodies.

Calling all olfactory artists, perfumers, designers, choreographers, and makers - submissions for the Creative Works section of the Smell Studies Journal are open until 1 August. Please email smellstudiesjournal@gmail.com with a 250-word abstract and short bio.

All the studies on canine olfaction are like “Dogs can detect bombs! drugs! tumors! and they MIGHT even smell what you’re thinking” and the studies on cats are like “Your cat can distinguish your scent from some stranger’s, but that doesn’t mean they like you”

Hello, friends! I am back and will be making a concerted effort to post regularly on here, because the other place is truly hideous. I have a huge platform there and will continue to use it for good, but it will be nice to spend more time in sunnier climes if you’ll have me!

Hi all. I couldn’t be more delighted that so many people have showed enthusiasm towards my work and I would love to share more with you as soon as I’m able, but right now my first priority is my students. I also need to get some sleep 😅
