61 years ago, Medicaid was signed into law. 1 year ago, the GOP gutted it to pay for tax cuts for billionaires and big corporations. Now, nearly 4 million people have lost Medicaid coverage - but millions more will lose it soon. Tell the GOP: Reverse Medicaid cuts NOW. #HealthcareHeist

The Trump admin is ending the Medicare Part D subsidy that keeps drug premiums stable for 25 million Americans. Ending this subsidy worsens the #affordabilitycrisis by increasing premiums for seniors and people with disabilities, forcing them to choose between healthcare, food, and rent.
CMS’s Decision to End Temporary Subsidies to Medicare’s Stand-Alone Drug Plans Could Mean Larger Premium Increases for Some Beneficiaries Next Year
Without these extra subsidies in place for 2027, some Part D stand-alone drug plan (PDP) enrollees could see a larger premium increase for drug coverage next year than they’ve faced in recent years, t...

While paying for universal coverage may be controversial for some, for the families facing rising premiums, medical debt and deciding between rent and medical care, #MedicareforAll is desperately needed (1/3)
I see lots of mentions of the cost of Medicare for All. But, it actually wouldn't necessarily increase health spending, and could actually decrease it. What it would do -- which would be controversial -- is redistribute health care spending from premiums and out-of-pocket costs to taxes.
Ending TPS is a direct blow to the healthcare workforce. In some states, Haitian immigrants make up <8% of home health aides. Ripping these workers away from their jobs is an act of violence that will exacerbate the staffing crisis, increase burnout, & undermine critical caregiver relationships.

The administration wants to blame coverage losses on "fraud." The reality is much simpler: when healthcare plans get more expensive, more working people are unable to pay for it. Americans need affordable healthcare, not excuses.
Affordability, not fraud, is why fewer Americans have health insurance
The “fraud, waste, and abuse” narrative has been seriously overworked, and does not fit the facts.

The Trump Administration’s new rule classifying nurses, including those in advanced nursing degrees as “non-professional” is an insulting denigration of the caring profession.
