#RpgaDay Day 5: Burden Because I’m playing it in a home game currently I wanted to talk about The One Ring and how it has mechanics for a physical carrying burdens in Load and Endurance but also Hope and Shadow for the emotional burdens on your characters (1/?)
#RPGaDay Day 4: Charm Instead of focusing on a specific game I always find any game that offers a “charm” (or its big brother mind control or anything similar) a tricky one to handle sometimes. It’s a condition that needs to be handled with tact a lot of the time I find, as taking player (1/?)
#RPGaDay Day 3: Poise. My immediate thought was of games that have like an armour mechanic or something and my go to thought was “Guard” in Mythic Bastionland. This is essentially a health bar that you have before you lose health from your main stat, Vigor. I like this because (1/?)
#RPGaDay Day 2- Stature. This term I went a little more generic - I think sometimes stature is something that you need to bake directly into any character you play...Except in CoC where your SIZ is a direct stat (that actively helps work out your direct hit points!)

I'll be doing the #RPGaDay this month - trying to reflect on a different game, character, moment or anything based off the word given each day and trying to spread the word about how fun TTRPGs can be!
So our next episode will be an entire self contained playthrough in one big episode (There is literally no way to cut it into multiple without ruining the magic of the game!) ....and even on the edit I find it very entertaining. But I will warn IT GETS REAL WEIRD! 😅
Love seeing all the cool announcements coming out of Gen Con already! I haven't ever gone all in with Vampire but will certainly keep an eye on this new edition! Daggerheart annoucements look fun and a new edition of The One Ring? 👀
