It’s believed to be the first known civilian crash linked to military GPS jamming in U.S. airspace. Controllers even paused the jamming once, then restarted it after the crew reported the airport in sight. Five minutes later, the plane crashed.
The military accidentally killed a medevac crew this year, and hardly anyone is talking about it. New Wired reporting says a medevac plane lost GPS during an Army jamming exercise near White Sands. In low visibility, it struck a mountain, killing all four aboard. #SheShed 🧵
