I've been thinking about this today, after listening to Allen West speak last night. Everything he said was consistent with the research on Right-Wing Authoritarianism. He wants to bring back the "good old days" when authority figures were respected & "woke" ideas got your ass kicked.

This is why fascism is for losers. It is the last gasp of a group of ideologues who realize that they've already lost the future and have nothing to lose by burning it all down. Everything made more sense when I realized that a few years ago. Fascists are residual culture that refuse to go away.

The biggest reason that EVERY argument about how it was "legal" to deport him is wrong is he wasn't deported. He was renditioned. He was sent to prison in El Salvador. Immigration courts do not have the power to imprison people.

So… this was supposed to be about Paul Revere’s ride, but the Senator just unloaded about the Trump administration and its Republican enablers. Far more newsworthy than I expected. (You can probably see me shifting to “crap, this was not the interview I prepped!” but the result was memorable.)
