🌆UARTS*23 Game Arts Grad🌆They/He🌆25
To celebrate all the recent love for #Hoi and #MoonChild, I fired up @aseprite.org to create some new Hoi and MC pixel art, for the first time in ± 30 years. 😃💚 For the scenery, I used my tiles for the Amiga version, combined with the Windows version's mountains and night sky background.
''Meet Sebastian'' - Happy to finally share this 3D animation that I've been cooking for a while, enjoy!

This story is also true! 🙂 In the 1990s, offering a Windows desktop theme was a way of promoting your production. Of course, it needed to run on every PC, so I had to stick to the fixed 16-color CGA palette. 😅
i think he has one of my favorite character themes in the game
MotorRoach@motorroach.bsky.social · 6mo agoHey, is this story true?
Moon Child says: "You've got the power to…" (Turn on your sound and wait for it…)
Thanks a lot for all the follows, everyone! I'm having soo much fun reading and viewing all the Moon Child love. 😊🙏 I'm also forwarding stuff to the other guys, including Ramon, our music composer. Here are some pencil-on-paper concept sketches I made around the start of Moon Child development. 🙂
If those admins could load this post, they'd be very upset
Qsy@qsy.bsky.social · 6mo agoLove how we had this series of extremely contentious and contemptuous interactions with this website's higher ups where they pretty much told us to our face "Yeah we're using Al to code, you fucking peasant. Deal with it." immediately followed by a good month of very frequent outages on the website.
this guy had his own game before moon child, named 'hoi.' quite fitting considering that's the guy's name and that the team behind both games is called 'team hoi.' anyways hoi has just an equally as good ost as moon child, take a listen to the intro theme. it slaps so fucking hard.

Happy happy Neil Banging Out The Tunes day 🐭
When playing certain games, you gotta ask yourself Am I enjoying this or am I making ice cubes? You deserve better than ice cubes.
Okay so you might see this video with the audio muted. Now imagine how the music must sound like. I urge you to unmute and listen to what it's actually like because I guarantee you you're not prepared for it.
Games That Weren't@gamesthatwerent.com · 6mo agoMoon Child began life as an Amiga AGA title before shifting to PC, where it finally saw release in 1997. A fascinating glimpse into a project caught between two eras. More here: www.gamesthatwerent.com/2026/04/moon...
