It really feels like people on social media would much rather complain about movies they don't like, harass creators of indie shows that became popular, or bully people for liking something they don't than actually support the arts.

I genuinely want to know what sort of brainwash, mindhack tech this film used on Farhan to make him *this* delusional. Ain't no way this guy spent 3 years glazing the heck out of CvA back when it was shelved, only to turn around and call it a "cash grab" all bc Pepé Le Pew got pepper sprayed.

And this seems to be a mostly social media thing? I don't think I've ever seen anyone in real life be so obsessed with a show, movie, or game they hate to the point where hating it becomes their whole personality. Please move on and touch grass.

I think it is very unhealthy and honestly weird that people spend so much time obsessing over media they don't like instead of sharing and celebrating the media that they do like.

The right, along with the billionaires and pundit class, became convinced that 2024 was this huge cultural mandate when that wasn't the case at all and I think they simply had their minds cooked by Twitter. They will be in for a rude awakening come November.

And the right will never be in charge of the culture because they don't create culture or care about it. All they want to do is tear it down and censor the arts. It's why anything they do create is some cheap knockoff of something better.

It’s been 20 years since Flyboys came out. It’s a film that featured David Ellison in one of the lead roles, as his dad Larry helped pay for the $60 million budget and David dropped out of university to star in this. It bombed hard, and it stunted David’s acting career.
