We can debate whether accuracy is necessary in historical cinema, but as I said with Gladiator 2 - I've often found that the movies who *do* care about authenticity the movies that care about other small details, like this one. Few care about one and are slapdash with the other.

You can/should read Emily Wilson's latest take on the Odyssey, but I'm logging on to convey my hairdresser's reaction. She was AGHAST that Nolan, with his million $ budget, gave Matt Damon ONLY 6 hair extensions. As a result, his hair did not blow around properly, & that ruined the film for her.

I didn't take a single ADHD pill during the heatwaves because of health risks, but I took one today. I am horrified by how much I've let slide. Apologies to everyone I owe something to, I'm now playing catch up and will sort everything soon.

A couple of days ago my similarly non-antiquity spouse said to me "ooh, I saw an interesting piece about the film. Do you know who Emily... Wilson(?) Is?" As I was explaining the backstory at sime length, he gave me a quizzical look and changed the subject.

Respectfully, I disagree. As a Greek, I’m tired of actual, living Greeks constantly being disrespected and ignored. No Greek actors/actresses involved but omitting Greece during the world premiere was adding further insult to injury. British & American classicists act like our concerns aren’t valid.

The decision of so many people to keep using X in its race-war phase has made me a bit more cynical overall about the ability to draw moral red lines. It’s beyond disappointing.
