I hate how greedy and exploitive players/LGS/scalpers be around them. The fact there doing this with a set as Smaug being one of the featured cards is very bleeping ironic.

Real talk though-- seeing the excitement and love for *Magic* characters and worlds shown on the cards? Unmatched. The energy I see on my feed for in-universe Magic IP is unmatched compared to another UB preview season.

What makes it so egregious is that it’s colorless, so it can go in any deck and the Ward 2 keeps it alive for way longer than it should. Imagine if Yarok (can’t think of a better example right now) was colorless with Ward 2

In the same note, don't make getting ambassadorship carry a lot of emotional weight, or see it as determining your value in the community. Not getting it does not mean you aren't valued as a creator, even by WotC. TONS of creators are competing for only a handful of spots. (And some seems random)
