Ah! The Outer Worlds 2 vinyl set has arrived! It's a beauty. Sounds good, too! I'm a bit wary of multi-coloured vinyl because sometimes the needle detects the difference. There can be weird artefacts. But so far so good on that! The music of Outer Worlds 2 is so damned good.

The packaging for the Outer Worlds 2 vinyl set. The main cover is a brightly coloured illustration with a woman with heart shaped dark hair in the foreground. The sleeves of each record in have illustrations highlighting an in-game faction. The first record being played on a Yamaha turntable. On the record table are a stand for the cover, a record brush, lint cloth, and needle brush. A cool planter with a pretty much dead inch plant is next to the implements. A spider plant with babies hangs over the edge of the floor speaker.

One of the best gifts I ever received in a Reddit gift exchange (I really miss the gift exchanges, tbh) was a box of two dozen dish cloths my santa crocheted. This was probably over ten years ago and I still use those things on the daily.

Been feeling blech due to perimenopause & neurodivergence, so Kevin & I have reservations at my favourite restaurant as a treat. I get off work at 2 today, so I am going to take a bath w/ fancy bath bombs, sheet mask, & the atmospheric works. Just zone out for a bit.

My new glasses are supposed to arrive today. Very excited. They're progressives, because now I need the first level of reading glasses and I was getting tired of constantly taking off my glasses to squint at my phone or a label at the store. Here's hoping I can get used to them quickly.

For the record, this Emily Wilson Odyssey review furor is ridiculous, and largely fueled by algorithms designed to work us up over practically nothing. She wrote a very interesting review from her perspective and I personally enjoyed it. Now, it feels like people want her arrested for a crime.

My #cello teacher & I finally figured out why I have difficulty with extensions! 🙌 It's because of how my cello sits. I am short & busty, which means I need a long end pin & play it more horizontally. Alas, we don't have a fix for this. He's looking into it for next week. 2nd position 4 now.

I've been invited as a panelist to an old con I enjoy very much, but alas, it is in the USA and I will not be travelling there any time in the foreseeable future. Pangs of grief and sadness pop out of nowhere these days. I am no longer allowed to enjoy things like the oldest sci fi con anymore. 😞
