What me and the mutuals are into

I appreciate that everyone has a different level of reading comprehension. I have high comprehension, but I struggle sometimes with focusing on the words due to ADHD. Things that help me include reading a plot synopsis on Wikipedia or watching the movie first if that's an option.

Man Lies to Obtain Medication He Does Not Need and has Terrible Side Effects from Taking Unnecessary Medication. Yeah, that would happen to me too. My ADHD meds, on the other hand, work swimmingly. Because I have ADHD.

Man without ADHD tries uppers for the first time: I mean honestly we're scraping the barrel on this now surely. I'm not diabetic. If I took insulin the affects would be far worse.

I've started watching Intolerance (1916) because it is on the 100 Essential Movies poster and is also a three hour long silent film, so watching in chunks. Can you imagine making The Birth of a Nation and then going, "oh, fuck, fuck, fuck, uhhhhhhhhhh, make a movie about how intolerance is bad????"

Just saw a tiktok of a woman naming some recentish movies that she liked and thought we moved on from too quickly. I'd seen a liked-to-loved 4 out of 5 of the movies she mentioned. I'm going to watch #5 tonight.

It was the first time a shower lined up with no one being home in a while, so it was the loudest shower singing.

I had thought about going to the surprise movie last night and I'm glad I didn't because it was Tony. It's a good movie, but I have already seen it. One of the reasons I like going to the surprise movies is being pretentious about seeing a movie *slightly* earlier than everyone else. 😂

I don't want to go see One Night Only, but I do want to get out of the house, and this doesn't cost me any extra dollars. 🤔

I don't mean this in a creepy way, but there's something under my shelf in the corner. Eisley will just sit and stare under there.

One thing I love about living where I do now and not a mile and a half away from Walter Reed is that there are 99% less helicopters flying directly overhead on any given day, and instead there's nearby train tracks and I can hear the trains at night. :)

I watched 14 movies last week. You know what else I did? NOTHING. I didn't even see any of those movies in a theater. I went nowhere and viewed 14 movies. I would like to continue watching movies, but perhaps also other things? Or leave the house to watch a movie? 😂

Ok, but if I froze the peanut butter slice, would it be like when the peanut butter in an uncrustable is still a little frozen? The sweet spot of an uncrustable is defrosted bread and still-frozen peanut butter. The texture is amazing.

I think I'm going to check some 90s movies off the poster this evening. Perhaps Silence of the Lambs, Shawshank Redemption, or Forrest Gump? Possibly Fargo? I've seen Silence of the Lambs and Fargo, but it's been 15+ years for both. I haven't seen the other two. Any suggestions on where to start?

sears portrait day

I haven't started the new season of Strange New Worlds, but I imagine it's a lot of queerbaiting? Like, they're not going to let Spock and Kirk kiss or get together. That's fine. That's not the issue.

The thing about watching movies off of the 100 Essential Movies poster is that you kind of can't go wrong? These are all 4+ star movies. I have a couple I've rated lower, and that is all on personal taste as opposed to something being "wrong" with the movie.

I'm watching A Streetcar Named Desire, which I haven't seen and don't actually know that much about, but DAMN, the first 5 minutes is this woman telling her sister how great she looks now that she's put on a little weight (but watch around the hips!) and how SHE hasn't put on an ounce in 10 years.

I'm really slamming the 100 Essentials Movies Poster. This is only the #lastfourwatched, but I've three more off the poster since last #letterboxdfriday. I'm having a great time (I also enjoyed new Spider-Man and I Want Your Sex in the theater last weekend.)

Nothing like doing some casual shopping for some upcoming g birthdays, and the cart is full of stuff for....me. hmm... I'm bad at this.

The problem with going to the movies to see all the movies is that I see all the movies I want to see. There's nothing new this week (that's releasing where I live) that I want to go the movies and see. Next weekend is stupid with things I want to see.

About 25% of the Vulcan population actively does not lie. The other 75% fucking loves lying and uses the non-lying 25% against everyone else. It's a slightly unbalanced ecosystem, but it is part of their culture.
