I went to a festival where the Stereophonics headlined, with Pixies right before them. A TON of people left after Pixies. In the queue for the train home, I heard a voice behind me say, “I’d rather lose my shoes than hear the Stereophonics.” I looked down. No shoes. Always wondered what happened.

This was already true for me in RDR and especially RDR2. The joke was "GTA With Horses" but the tone of the game and the feel of the characters just didn't invite me to do wanton murder for fun.

But this is GTA, so we must ask: What will it be like to rampage through a world full of characters that gesture and cry so uncannily? Will wanton virtual violence still be fun? Or will it just make us feel kind of bad?
Funny example. Half-Life 2 didn’t prove the value of Steam to anyone innately, the game wasn’t only made possible by the platform. Valve just made Steam mandatory as a condition of playing the most hyped game of the year.
