In the 16th century finance meant how much debt one could carry before death, i.e., the "fin" or "the end." Looks like we're heading back in the direction. How much debt can you accrue before the health insurance company lets you die? Guess we'll find out soon.
If someone had told me two years ago, there would be a market for contacting authors with AI summaries of their book to ask them for small consulting and publicity fees, I'd have thought they were nuts. Now I get three or four of these a day. Each AI summary, falsely unique in its own way.

Some of the best writing advice I've ever received I got my second year in grad school and appears so basic: avoid the verb "to be." I think of this so often.
