One more page of Gargoyles flats then back to coloring my comic. Figured I'd just start now. I was amusing myself with Gargs. To speed up I used my Last Outpost color palette instead of sampling the previous pages so Brooklyn has temporarily been "Kaylee dress red" and Katana "Mia necklace blue"

Finally was able to get my Métis genealogy forms sent off to a place in Manitoba so in five months I'll be able to see if I can have enough proof to send off my application to become a Canadian citizen. This whole process will take two years, but that's ok.

I tend to dislike main supporting character deaths in games. I never feel anything other than irritation and disappointment than feeling immersed. It is a really lazy, overused narrative device to try to get emotions out of people as if death of an ally in front of you is the only way to get feels.

Gave myself a day off yesterday and partially caught up on Infinity Nikki. However the update story has been a nightmarish fever dream in parts. 😂 They call themselves the coziest open world game. I think they've long since lost that title, but totally went off the rails here.

This guy randomly shows up in my mind so I decided that he's a character now. I named him Aidan and he is a restaurant owner in Kaylee's story. He likes hiking and romance comics. He doesn't have protag energy, but I felt this random blond guy that was living rent free in my head should work.

concept sketches of blond guy.

I know I could have done a lot better with my KS campaign, make better graphics and ads and everything. Had more color page samples... but if I didn't just put it out there I never would have got it done. Sometimes you have to power through and throw something out to the world and see what happens.

People have asked what the reason is for the fabric around her waist if she's in a uniform/mage armor. It's in part fashion, which makes her feel good, but also symbolic of herself hanging onto the bit of her true self that is almost lost during that phase of her life.

I wanted to draw past Kaylee to show that she isn't just some gentle tea witch... she was a battle witch for a rebel faction. I do touch on her past in the comic since it has a lot to do with why she is where she is. www.kickstarter.com/projects/jlb... #furryart #crowdfunding #comic
