Lieutenant Governor John Rogers seeks to weaponize the GMDSA primary voter guide survey against his opponent. He claims this is about policies and not labels. If that is true then we invite him to fill out the short survey and clarify his stance on these policies. The survey is in his email inbox.

Change rarely announces itself. It begins with a conversation, a gathering, a worker speaking and a neighbor listening. This September we marched, protested, canvassed, organized and celebrated across Vermont. Another month of doing the work, together. 🌹

Jeffrey Peterson is running to be a rep in Vermont’s State House where he can better fight for universal healthcare, push for a ban on private equity and large corporations from the housing market, invest in public transit, and more. Jeffrey is a fighter and he’s ready to go!

Alexander Bobella is running to represent Franklin’s district in the VT State Senate. Alexander is a social worker and has seen first hand the painful realities that too many families face when it comes to navigating the cost of food, healthcare, and basic survival.

Labor Day was created by workers and made a federal holiday amid the labor militancy of 1894. Days later, federal troops were sent against striking Pullman workers. We’ll take any opportunity to celebrate those who fought, struck and organized for a better world. 🌹✊

Red Green Mountain DSA graphic reading “Happy Labor Day: Honoring the workers of the past and those today who build a better tomorrow.” An illustration of the 1894 Pullman Strike shows armed authorities confronting striking workers, set against Vermont’s Green Mountains.

In August, all our Socialists in Office won their primaries! 🌹 We celebrated 300 members, marched with workers on the picket line, advocated for Pastor Steven Tendo’s release, and kept organizing for a Vermont that works for working people. Solidarity forever! ✊
