Line cleaning with snake oil?
It’s part and parcel of selling draught beer but many publicans want to do it less frequently. There are products available to achieve this, but are they worth the risk?

My key take away from two days at LCBF is a lot of people choose to wear crisp white T-shirts to beer festivals. Some might say brave, I’d say naive
The Indie Nitro Stout listings now up to 80 entries. Stouts from Hexhamshire brewery, St Austells, Loch Lomond Shindigger and Electric bear added yesterday. Thanks to everyone who has had a look at the list so far.
For the last 18 months I’ve been compiling a list on my phone of pub strength, flavouring free nitro-stouts brewed by independent UK breweries. I decided it’s about time I shared the list. You can now find it on my website. beerwithtim.co.uk/the-indie-ni...

Can anyone confirm if @adnamssouthwold.bsky.social Blackshore Stout is available on Nitro in Adnams pubs please? I’m convinced I’ve seen it, but can’t find any record of it on nitro online?
#saisonsunday is rapidly becoming a thing in our house. This hibiscus blended saison from @fyneales.bsky.social Origins Brewing was so good, I immediately ordered another six bottles.

Thursday night in Montpellier, every bar is packed, every terrace is full, I had steak, chips, salad for dinner with free bread and a pint and it came to €26. People are spending money! This is what the UK could have if we just gave hospitality a break from the endless tax and overhead pummelling!

Next month marks 10 years since the release of Cloudwater DIPA V3, one of the first hazy hype beers, and Gipsy Hill’s Drifter, the first UK brewed New England IPA. I’ve written a post reflecting on 10 years of UK NEIPAs & the styles impact on British beer culture. beerwithtim.co.uk/2026/03/17/m...

Bit of a coup for us, we've landed the gig running the bar for Prince Andrew's 66th birthday party tonight. Right, better get the van loaded and head down to Windsor!

Cask ale drinkers? If given a choice do you prefer to drink your pint from a glass with a handle, or a glass without one? Doing some research and trying to gauge what the general consensus is (if any)

Had a great time last night at #BGBW25 @britbeerwriters.bsky.social congratulations to all the winners, all thoroughly deserved!
The dreaded day is here. A nation of hospitaly operators holds their breath.
I had a great afternoon at Brewpoint today, recording a podcast episode with @beerwithtim.bsky.social, having a tour of the brewery, and sampling several of their beers - six after the tour and three over some lunch. Really impressed with the beers.
Completely buzzed this morning to find out I have made the shortlist of the @britbeerwriters.bsky.social awards. See the full shortlist here www.beerguild.co.uk/2025-awards-...
