four years ago I posted this image of paleontologist Jan Smit looking at rocks and his son-in-law replied with something even better
Genetics has determined the first place I lose weight from is my ass. Unfortunate. Paternal genetics already gave me flat feet, allergies, poor eyesight, possible predisposition to heart conditions, and now this??
Anthropic banning “abusive or cruel behavior” toward Claude in its new usage policies is proof to me that tech companies are going to moderate violence against AI before they ever moderate violence against women and minorities
The in-store music includes “Not The 1975” by Knox and I’ve concluded I find everything about that song insufferable.
Laser Santa vs Silicone Faux-Crochet Titty that is shelved with the Hannukah stuff because it’s blue.

Best part of work yesterday was when staff testing electronics to make sure they work before pricing them for sale in the thrift store tested a wildly busted electronic keyboard. It worked perfectly, except for the part where the only sound it could make was like an 8-bit whoopee cushion fart.
my dream is to be the first non-famous person on a coin. when i enter circulation everybody will ask who is this man and why is he on my coin
Idk why people buy clothes from Shein (I mean, I know why, but it still boggles my mind). This dress is like z-tier Spirit Halloween costume level of quality.
Idk what it is that causes 75% of people to enter a store (it seems ESPECIALLY common in thrift stores) and suddenly they lose the ability to return items to where they were found.
We've been working with Books to Prisoners Seattle to help get graphic novels into prisons for years and a generous donor has committed to matching all book donations this week in honor of banned book week!!! Go to shop.crowsnest.quest/a/listify/re... to get them some comics and double your impact.
Most things “inherent” to masculinity are prisons of their own making. Cis het (white, currently able-bodied, neurotypical) men who consider themselves allies need to reeeeeally start pushing these boundaries because Y’ALL are the “default” by which other people are judged and found wanting.
seeing conservative men debate how to dress online is very funny. can't dress up or wear interesting casualwear bc you've made any visible interest in dress to be a sign of homosexuality. but you feel the need to dress better bc you've linked dress to respectability. a prison of your own making.
A BEAUTIFUL Pud, perfectly suckable.
i’m about to do an artists residency on a very limited budget and i just found out it’s gonna cost $200 to check my bags 😬 if you’re feeling generous anything helps. vemmo - doctopmaru papal - doctopmaru@gmail cshapp - doctopmaru thank you.
You read this and it sounds perfectly reasonable, right? Nobody should be saying people should be sent to camps! How horrible! Aaron doesn't mention that the REASON people are using "camps" rhetoric is because he very recently said that it was fine to use this language about and to trans people.
If your direct response to our enforcing on our community guidelines to make the folks on here safer is to lash out and say that moderators should be sent to concentration camps - maybe you need to reassess your priors but you aren’t making this place safer with that attitude.
all moderation decisions make a lot more sense viewed through the lens that they really resent the fact their primary userbase is transgender communists
What I’ve learned from one shift sorting clothing donations: Y’all people out here not washing the armpits of your clothes. So many perfectly good shirts and sweaters ruined by nasty, crusty-ass stick deodorant pits.
CSP being pressed to take even just /kissing/ off their asset store and FA being told that plus sized characters are considered adult should be a giant waving red flag to folks. Sex workers have /always/ been right to say these policies never stop with 1 type of content. They always wanna ban more.
I am (begrudgingly, dragging my heels, trying to go limp) entering my “rise and grind” era. Two part time jobs and hoping to save money for an unexpected opportunity that I don‘t even wanna post about it, lest I become TOO invested. Don’t wanna be crushed if it doesn’t work out.
It's OCD Awareness Month so if you have OCD remember to be aware of it at all times so you can finally solve it
TLDR: Fur Affinity's advertising partners are demanding that they ban adult content. Sciggles and FA want to firmly tell them to go fuck themselves. If they're going to be able to afford to do that, they need the community's help. Pitch in. Keep furry weird. www.furaffinity.net/journal/1143...

I've heard people make claims that AI would lead to a new Renaissance, but I didn't imagine it'd happen like this:
