Managed to do all my subscriber data entry for the month (there's a lot of it - each month takes me ~2-3 hours to get it all in), and got a couple of templates done. Making sure I don't just immediately push myself to burnout after the long break - working myself back into a rhythm instead.
Just to add clarity: The SCREEN act was never going to get past committee in the Senate. It's been proposed 3-4 times and has been soundly rejected every time. It's good to celebrate the victory and breathe a sigh of relief but don't rest on laurels: while SCREEN failed, KOSA advanced. Keep calling.
I've spent most of today either sitting at my desk not doing much, or lying in bed reading. And yet I'm still so tired. I knew I would need to decompress after the trip, but I feel so EXHAUSTED and I don't know why.
Finally home from New England - spent 14 hours on a train yesterday, slept for about 12 hours, and now I just need a day to decompress and get my sleep schedule back to normal lol

One of my top supporters is a millwright and another works in a grocery store deli. They both work their asses off day after day. Yes, we DO have doctors and lawyers and engineers, but we also have the people who form the backbone of our everyday experiences, and they deserve a place at the table.

Gonna be real: it's deeply shitty to aggressively demand that artists who worked on a large project guarantee to you that nobody who touched the project used AI. They can't know that and they're not responsible for that. They can only know things within the scope of their own job.

I get the sentiment, but also most people don’t “care” about Jimothy. They are entertained by him and his popularity is going to get him killed. I would prefer we not compare disabled animals to disabled people because we don’t treat either with dignity or respect.

Megaplex's only mistake (and I'm not even sure I can call it a mistake) is not clearly communicating that there's a dedicated space for babyfurs, which made the schedule look more cluttered than it really was. Cons have had "pool toy rooms" for years. This is the same thing but for babyfurs.
Sorry, it's late at night and I'm keyed up (17-hour train trip tomorrow), so I realize I'm pontificating a bit.
ON THE FLIP SIDE OF THIS: Not every space is for you. People are allowed to be uncomfortable about your kinks. People are allowed to NOT want to associate with you. You are not owed consideration by every single artist, convention, event, or website. "Curate your space" works both ways.
