Happy birthday to the incomparable Jack Davis! One of EC's mainstays, and the artist on the infamous "Foul Play" from Haunt of Fear in 1953. This one sent Dr. Wertham into a rage. In the 1960s & 70s Davis became one of the most sought after magazine cover illustrators. I used to collect them!

I need everyone to know that I was REALLY brave while getting my blood drawn (routine labs) today even though the phlebotomist was NOT sympathetic (ie refused my request for a juice box or stickers).
